Loose Park Roses

Goodness me, I feel like I’ve been on a roll this week with consistent posting on the blog. I guess having Rohan home has benefited my time management in editing photos faster. Although, these rose garden photos are from June… that’s still quicker than I normally am. So here are the results of one of my favorite locations to photo shoot in the Midwest. We’ve found the end of May, or start of June, to be best when the Loose Park roses are in full bloom!

LOOSE PARK ROSES

It’s funny how much Ayla has grown since this day. We visited a couple of days before her birthday, she’d only been walking for a month and was much less confident than she is now. Man, kids grow up fast! Now she’s running, climbing, dancing and trying to jump!

I love how much the girl’s obsess over flowers too – they are definitely my children! There is just something I can’t quite explain how it feels to me, visiting a purposeful place someone intentionally created to spark joy and happiness. I want a rose garden as thoughtful as this one, one day, in my own backyard. Something beautiful around every corner, color everywhere, the sweet smell of roses to fill the outside air. That’s the dream!

I also love ANY good excuse to put on a pretty dress and twirl around among the flowers. I saved so hard for this particular one. It was a special purchase for a personal milestone I reached. My very first LoveShackFancy dress. As soon as I saw this dress (on sale) I knew this would be the one I chose. I love how effortless it looks. I can picture it walking along the beach pathways in cute sandals, or dressed up with heels for a special date. It’s versatile, extremely well crafted and made me feel like a million dollars. It’s currently on sale for 40% off now, here’s the link to it. It’s called the Carlton dress. It was the perfect choice for a day with the Loose Park roses.

Worn with simple white slip-on sandals (from Kmart Australia, now sold out, similar here), a pair of pretty white flower studs (from SheIn, now sold out, similar here). She put the finishing touch on her entire look by wearing her Bronde clip-in hair extensions (by Barefoot Blonde Hair).

Ayla is wearing a matching blue embroidered flutter top and shorts (both from Janie & Jack, here and here, now sold out). She also wears cute bow sandals (from Old Navy) and a blue nylon bow headband (from Walmart).
